Occidental Tucancun

I absolutely loved the stunning beach view and amazing room view. The pool locations were fantastic, and the adult pool with a bar was a favorite spot. Despite some noise issues in our room, the lovely views made up for it. The staff was fantastic, especially Dalida Perez at El Mirador. However, the lack of beach umbrellas and occasional rude encounters with time share sharks were drawbacks. The restaurant reservation system was a hassle, but the food quality was generally good, except for the hard pizza at the Italian restaurant. Overall, a mixed experience with some highs and lows.

Huge hotel complex, limit factory to tourists but the rooms are correct, location and beach are good, cleanliness of the swimming pool leaves something to be desired and buffets are really not good... OK for 1 night of transit but to be avoided for a stay...

The staff at the hotel were excellent, doing their best to accommodate requests, but there were issues with the locks and air conditioning. Despite these challenges, the location was convenient and the doormen were welcoming. The food and bar hours could be improved for a better experience.

Great stay in Cancun. Hotel and clean beach. Reception at the top. Friendly staff . Only problem : the buffet . Little advice : take the sea view, it was simply fabulous.

The service, the waiters are very helpful ... smiling ... nice ... same for the employees who are at the door of restaurants, cooks, lobby employees, bars, those who are at the door of the hotel ... who take care of the suitcases ... the employee for the beach towels. Satisfied with all services

smell of the food in all the restaurants... airing... Our hair and clothes smelled strong of grease and smell of food. Too many steps to go to the swimming pools.. 2 or 3 floors without assenceurs.. even to go to the beach.. many steps.. no shadows.. no umbrellas at the beach.. some palm trees which did not give shadows.. unpleasant unfortunately.

The beach was clean, not too crowded, and the pools were all great. The buffet was good, with plenty of options, and the drinks were fantastic. The sun would shade the pools in the afternoon, which was a nice break from the heat. Despite the tasty food, sometimes the buffet did run out, needing a little patience for the trays to be refilled. Overall, a lovely stay with amazing relaxation options and just a tiny hiccup with buffet availability. 🏖️

I thoroughly enjoyed the stunning beach views at Occidental Tucancun in Cancun. The main restaurant "El Mirador" had good to excellent food and the Mexico Lindo had the best mole I've ever eaten. Friendly staff and great evening shows added to a memorable stay.

EVERYTHING WAS ALMOST PERFECT EXCEPT THAT ..................TO GET THE WI FI YOU HAVE TO SPEND 60 USDOLLARS. FOR A WEEK OF AMAZING WIFI!!!!! THE MAJORITY OF THE HOTELS HAVE IT AND FOR FREE;. WE ARE FAITHFUL CUSTOMERS FOR FIVE YEARS WE RETURN AND WILL RETURN NEXT YEAR. MR GERARD RIVERAIN

The staff was incredibly friendly and made my solo trip enjoyable. The food was fresh, and the pool entertainment was top-notch. Although the rooms seemed outdated, the beach was stunning. Book early for the restaurant! Good spot overall.

I keep returning for a reason. Staff's help with directions was memorable. Free Wi-Fi, 24-hr reception, outdoor pool, and more suit me perfectly. The facilities are top-notch. Coming back for a romantic escape.

The hotel had a charming, welcoming ambiance with beautiful, well-maintained gardens and cozy seating areas – perfect for relaxed strolls and conversation. I truly appreciated the thoughtful amenities for senior guests, such as easily accessible handrails and ramps, making it effortless to move around the property and enjoy the stunning views.

The only improvement I'd suggest is for the children working there to offer more assistance and be courteous to senior guests.

We absolutely loved the beach at the resort, with its fun hammock area perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun. The staff was incredibly friendly and made our family feel welcome, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

My wife says that the kids' pool area could use some more shade for those hot afternoons.

The oceanfront rooms offered amazing views, and the beach and ocean view were exceptional. The staff were very helpful and the lobby area had a grand feeling perfect for a hotel by the ocean. The food was decent and the breakfast was good. The bar next to the lobby was very convenient for quick snacks. I enjoyed the beautiful beach and the location of the hotel, which was walking distance to many activities - making it a great choice for my trip.

The staff was super friendly and nice. Food was great and always available. 3 outdoor pools and beach access and location was great. Drinks were also good and shopping locations right across the street as well as La Isla shopping center 10 min walk away. Bus stop is also right across the street. Many seating areas in the pool and fun activities. Everything you need is within the premise.

The view from the room overlooking the ocean was jaw-dropping! but those mosquitoes in the room 🦟 were a major bummer 😑. Overall, had a solid time.

The location of this hotel is amazing. It's right on the beach, so you can easily access the beautiful sandy shores and crystal-clear waters. The staff here are fantastic. From the moment I checked in, they were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean, providing a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. The amenities in the room, such as the mini-bar and tea/coffee facilities, were a nice touch. Additionally, the free Wi-Fi in the rooms was convenient for staying connected.

The service at Occidental was amazing! When I lost my towel card, I was worried about getting fined, but the staff was so friendly and understanding. They replaced my card without any trouble and helped me feel more relaxed during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

We, as older guests, really enjoyed the spacious and clean rooms. The entertainment provided, especially the Michael Jackson impersonator, was fantastic. The Italian and Seafood restaurants were also excellent for dining.
